Communications and Engagement Officer (Croydon)

NHS South West London

A reminder about the BMA strike action Monday 13, Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 March.

Junior doctors who are members of the British Medical Association (BMA) are expected to take part in a 72-hour strike on Monday 13, Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 March.

Although our hospitals are working hard to ensure as many appointments as possible go ahead, there will be some which will need to be rearranged.

The key message for local people is that everyone should attend their appointments unless the NHS contacts them directly and the NHS will still be here for people who need it.

Anyone experiencing potentially life-threatening symptoms should call 999 as they would on any other day.  Anyone experiencing other urgent, but not life threatening, symptoms should use NHS111 online, call NHS 111, contact their own GP or visit a pharmacy.

We hope you find this information useful and would be grateful if you can share relevant messaging if with your networks.

Monday 13, Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 March

Continue to attend scheduled appointments

📣 With strike action taking place across the country, the NHS is still here for people who need care –

you will be contacted if your appointment needs to be changed.

💻 Please use 111 online, and in emergencies, call 999.

Monday 13, Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 March

Use 111 online if not life threatening, 999 emergencies only

📣 With ongoing strike action taking place, services are currently very busy – but the NHS is still here for people who need care

💻 Please use 111 online, and in emergencies, call 999.
