Hear Us’ newest project, Reachout Create, enables mental health service users to share their stories of lived experience in creative and inclusive ways.
Thanks to funding from the London Community Foundation through the Adobe Fund, we are launching our newest project: Reachout Create. Our research from other Hear Us projects (like our Linkworking project) has shown that some people in our community with lived experience of mental health conditions find it easier to tell their story in creative ways.
Based on this, we’ll be hosting a series of creative sessions and workshops over the next two years and they will be run by artists with lived experience. With your permission, the work that you create in these workshops will be added to our training materials as part of our ‘ReachOut Challenge’ anti-stigma and mental health awareness campaign.
Our future workshops may include creative writing, photography, animation, drawing, and more.
We’re hosting a Reachout Create Open Day on December 17th at Orchard House, from 11am to 4pm.
Join us at this event to get a taster of our newest project, and to suggest ideas for the creative workshops you would like to see in the coming two years.
