JAMI
South
(Jewish Association for Mental Health)
JAMI, established in 1989, is the only
Jewish charity concerned exclusively with
serious mental illness, with the impact
it has on the lives of those who suffer
from it, including their families and
all who care for them. JAMI was formed
by the parents, relatives and friends
of those suffering from mental illness
- those who know perhaps better than anyone
how devastating these conditions can be.
They are committed to providing help to
those affected by it, to providing the
care and support that embodies the culture
and values of Jewish Society.
JAMI South have a regular coffee meeting
at Starbucks at Centrale Shopping Centre
in central Croydon, where service users
can meet together for discussions and
socialising and enjoy free coffee.
There are also a number of events, more
details of which can be found at the main
JAMI website (www.jamiuk.org)
To access these, you need to contact JAMI
first, so please contact Avril or Jennye
first.
