A Voice for My Community
MORE friendly and free workshops for Croydon community and voluntary representatives.

The following training is aimed at helping elected/ selected represenatives of networks, partnerships and forums to become more effective as community representatives.

All sessions include refreshments and food. Booking is essential as places are limited.

Campaigning for Change

David Gilbert, Patient and Public Involvement Director, Croydon's Primary Care Trust, will discuss the passions and challenges faced by representatives with a view to identifying how to be influential.
Andrew Crooks, will use fun and intereactive methods to explore techniques for effective campaigning.

Sarah Taylor will give the Croydon perspective: what is expected of representatives and what you can expect from working in partnership with Croydon's public agencies. Empowering the Voluntary Sector
19th June, 9am - 4.30pm

NAVCA and the Public Law Project (PLP) is delivering an innovative venture to support the voluntary and community sector in understanding the principals nad framework of public law. The aim of hte project is to strengthen the relationship between voluntary and community organisations and public bodies and significantly increase opportunities to influence decisions made by public bodies.
