The creation of Clinical Academic Groups (CAGs) will underpin King’s Health Partners – the Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC) we have established with King’s College London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ and King’s College Hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts.

Clinical Academic Groups are new structures which will bring clinical services and academic activities together within a series of single managerial units.

AHSCs are essentially a way of working together across traditional organisational boundaries to integrate research, education, training and care. Our overall ambition at King’s Health Partners is to provide high quality, innovative services.

Partnership Time Event to listen to views on Clinical Academic Groups and Quality Accounts

SLaM would like to invite service users, carers and other members of the public so that they have the chance to debate and influence the Trusts strategy. The first half of the event will focus on SLaM's re-organisation into seven Clinical Academic Groups (CAGs) which are new structures that will bring together clinical services and academic activities within a series of single managerial units. Included in this will be time for discussion and for us to answer any questions.

During the last section of the event we will address the Government's proposal that all providers of NHS care produce annual Quality Accounts. The aim will be for the group to work together to produce a report that provides clear jargon-free information about the quality performance of the services that we deliver.

More information about SLaM can be found on the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust Website
